  • Your staff should use secure passwords to log on to computers and software programs that hold confidential data.
    • The passwords should be changed regularly
    • Staff should be trained on secure passwords

    • Management should know how to change staff passwords after they leave
  • Password protection software can provide a safe method to store multiple passwords securely.

    • A Backup Policy will identify who is responsible for running backups and who manages this during holiday periods or other out of office situations.
    • The Policy should cover mission critical data and non-mission critical but important information.
    • Particular attention given to each individuals email files.
    • A Backup Policy will identify and ensure compliancy with any industry legal requirements.
